En[compass]ing Our Journeys Proposal Submissions

As a refresher, FANHS National 2024: En[compass]ing Our Journeys will be held July 16th – 20th at United Way of Greater Houston (50 Waugh Dr, Houston, TX 77007) hosted by the FANHS Houston Chapter. Visit fanhs2024.com for more details and click on Submit Proposal.
This year’s theme asks of us, “What is the Filipinx community’s overarching journey? Who has guided us on our journey? How do we honor our individual journeys?” and much more. Alongside the guidelines within the proposal form itself, we are looking for proposals that:
- Center Filipino American history, current research, and/or future imaginings
- Provide a space of dialogue for Filipino Americans with intersectional identities
- Present compelling workshops to encourage our community’s intergenerational and cross-cultural collaboration
Proposals may be submitted for:
- Individual / Group papers or presentations
- Panels (5 guests max, including moderator)
- Workshops (5 presenters total)
Please read the Selection Process + Timeline and our Conference Theme carefully on the form, and view the accompanying instructional video before submitting your proposals. One proposal is submitted on behalf of a group, designating a point of contact.
